Physics HW

Complete your Bounce Labs - please print them out at home.

The Analysis Questions - answer in complete sentences please......

1. What variables might affect how high a ball bounces? What two or three might be feasible and not too difficult to test?

2. What does your graph tell you?

3. Predict the rebound height if the ball was dropped from 87 cm. Predict the release height if the ball rebounds to 52 cm. (interpolation for both balls)

4. Predict the rebound height if the ball is released from 38 cm. (extrapolate for both balls)

5. How is the release height related to the rebound height? Can you answer this from the graph?

6. When you divide the rebound height by the corresponding release height, does a pattern appear? What is the pattern?

7. When you graph the data from the second ball, what similarities do you see when compared with the first graph?
